To factory reset a

DSC Impassa SCW9057G alarm panel, disconnect AC power and the battery, then jumper terminal Z1 to PGM1. Power up with AC for 10-15 seconds until the Zone 1 light is lit, then remove power and the jumper. Upon restarting, the Master Code will be 1234, and default installer codes are restored.

Steps to Factory Reset SCW9057G:

  1. Power Down: Unplug the AC transformer from the wall and disconnect the backup battery inside the panel.
  2. Short Terminals: Locate the Z1 and PGM1 terminals on the main board. Use a wire to short (connect) the Z1 terminal to the PGM1 terminal.
  3. Apply Power: Reconnect the AC power only.
  4. Confirm Reset: Wait for the system to power up (approximately 10-15 seconds). The Zone 1 light will turn on, indicating the reset is complete.
  5. Finalize: Disconnect AC power, remove the jumper wire, reconnect the battery, and plug the AC transformer back in.

Important Notes:
  • Installer Lockout: If the panel does not reset, it may have an installer lockout, which prevents defaulting. In this case, the unit may need to be replaced.
  • Default Codes: After a successful reset, the default Master Code is typically 1234.
  • Wireless Devices: This process resets panel programming but typically does not unenroll wireless devices.
Note: The SCW9057G requires AC power for the default process; a battery-only power-up will not work.
